I am passionate about providing Reiki and love to spread the word to those who are not aware of this incredible healing energy!

Reiki has been in existence since the 1920s and has significantly gained in popularity over the last 30 years. The proven and long-lasting benefits of Reiki are so remarkable that it has become a staple in wellness practices and, over recent years has been introduced in hospitals to Oncology patients to reduce anxiety and manage pain facilitating quality sleep to aid in recovery and healing. Now that is some serious spiritual growth!

what is reiki

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is two Japanese words: “Rei” means universal life and “ki” means energy.

Working on the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual level, Reiki increases one’s Life Force Energy. Reiki practitioners are individuals who have been trained to funnel that powerful yet unobtrusive flow of energy to their clients in a way that releases blockages and restores balance, creating an environment for energy to flow freely and openly throughout the body.

reiki treatment

Reiki is a silent practice. We can discuss our shared experience once the treatment has concluded. This work is sacred and as such your privacy and healing journey is deeply honoured.

The client lays on a massage table fully clothed while I lightly lay hands on traditional hand position areas, or with my hands hovering a few inches above these areas. Reiki works just as well in either case so if you prefer to not be touched directly with any or all of the hand positions and prefer the hovering method, this is just as effective. Sensitive or private areas are never touched during a Reiki session. Even if you have a health issue in a sensitive or private area it is against a Reiki Professional Practitioner’s Code of Ethics to physically touch private or sensitive areas. If you are unable to be in-person, a proxy is used for Distance Reiki and can be facilitated via Zoom.

What will you feel during Reiki?

You might feel any number of things while receiving Reiki. I often tell people that they are going to feel like they have just gotten eight hours of good sleep! If you have injuries, you may feel “tingling” while I work on the affected area. You might also feel twitching or physical releases as stuck energy in the body is released. Oftentimes, a client usually experiences the warmth (sometimes coolness) of the energy emanating from my hands.

When should you get Reiki?

We are beings of energy and vibration. When the energy of our emotions and beliefs are in alignment with who we truly are, it fuels and energizes us. When it’s not, it can drain or block us. These blockages can manifest as symptoms to such a degree that we may become sick, depressed, anxious, or chronically ill, or to a lessor extreme, unmotivated, chronically tired, or unfocused and scattered. Simply put, when you are feeling out of alignment – mentally, physically, emotionally, or spiritually it is time for Reiki.

How often should you get Reiki?

There’s no fixed answer to this question. To help you determine if it’s time for another Reiki session ask yourself what brought you to Reiki and whether this treatment has helped you with your issue. Suppose you came to Reiki to deal with job interview anxiety and develop confidence. In that case, your intention may be met in a single session. On the other hand, if you’re dealing with something more long-term, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly may be more appropriate. For some people, the relaxation and calmness brought by Reiki are magical, and they want to experience it again.

How much does Reiki cost?

Sessions can be done in person or by phone/video call.

60 minutes $65 CAD
90 minutes $95 CAD
120 minutes $125 CAD
